Introduction
Raj Tarun has been looking for a strong comeback for a long time. Paanch Minar looked like it could bring him back into the game, but the film ends up struggling from the start. The tone is confused, the humour rarely works, and the thriller portions feel half-hearted. You keep waiting for the movie to get better, but it never does.
Story (Spoiler-Free)
Kittu is an unemployed youngster who lies his way through life. He becomes a cab driver and pretends to be hearing-impaired just to earn extra money. One night, he unknowingly gets involved in a murder and becomes a target.
This setup could have been sharp and exciting, but the film never uses its potential. The tension is weak, the comedy feels forced, and the plot keeps repeating the same beats. The film promises intensity but delivers very little.
Performances
Raj Tarun gives an okay performance, but nothing stands out. His acting feels too familiar, as if he is playing the same roles he has done many times before. In serious scenes, the emotion does not fully land.
Rashi Singh barely gets space. Ajay Ghosh does his job well but cannot lift poorly written scenes. Brahmaji adds some mild relief, but even he is underused. The supporting cast feels wasted because the writing does not help anybody shine.
Direction & Screenplay
The direction lacks energy. The first half drags with repetitive scenes, and the second half becomes messy with confusing shifts. The screenplay is the weakest point. It never builds real tension, the humour looks misplaced, and many scenes feel stretched.
The film wants to be a thriller and a comedy at the same time, but it is not strong in either area.
Technical Aspects
The background music is average and does not add excitement. The songs do not stand out. Cinematography is decent but nothing memorable. Editing could have been much sharper because the movie feels slow in many parts. Production quality is okay but does not give the film any unique identity.
